Risk Disclosure
Last updated 2026-10-16
Trading futures and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose all of the money in your account, and more. Read this Risk Disclosure before you use TradeX. It does not describe every risk, and it is not investment advice. Words with capitals have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
Market risk
- Futures are traded with leverage. A small price move can cause a large loss, and losses can exceed your margin and your account balance, so that you owe your Broker more than you deposited.
- Prices can gap, move to limits or trade with little liquidity, especially around news, at the open and close, and overnight. A stop order then becomes a market order and may fill far from its stop price, or not at all. Exchanges can halt trading.
- Past performance, including your own, does not indicate future results.
Trading several accounts as a Group
- A Group sends the same order to each of its accounts at the same time, sized by each account’s multiplier. Each account is filled on its own: fill prices, filled quantities and rejections can differ from account to account.
- If an order is rejected in one account, or its result there is unknown, the orders in the other accounts are not cancelled, reversed or sent again.
- Multipliers multiply your quantity, and with it your losses.
- Trading several accounts together can break a Prop Firm’s rules on copy trading, hedging or multiple accounts.
Automatic actions by the Connector
- The Connector changes, places again and cancels take profit and stop loss orders by itself, and it closes a position at market when protection cannot be put back (see section 5 of the Terms of Service). This can happen while you are away from your computer, and a market order can fill at a worse price than you expect.
- It works only while it is running and connected. When your computer is off, asleep or offline, when the Connector is closed or blocked by security software, or when this computer is not the execution device for an account, take profit and stop loss do not follow your position.
- When the result of an order is unknown, the Connector does not send it again. You must check your Broker Account yourself.
- Your Broker’s rate limits, risk controls and maintenance can delay or reject orders, including protective ones.
- If an entry order fills only in part, the position is then closed, and the rest of the entry fills later, the new position may have no take profit or stop loss. The Connector alerts you but does not protect it.
- If you also trade an account somewhere else, such as on your Broker’s own platform, the Connector’s automatic actions may interact with those orders.
Technology and third parties
- Market data comes from your Broker and can be delayed, interrupted or wrong. Prices on the chart can differ from the prices you are filled at.
- Brokers, exchanges, Prop Firms, internet and cloud providers and TradeX itself can fail. During an outage, manage your positions directly at your Broker.
- Signing in to your Broker somewhere else can end the Connector’s session.
- While execution moves from one device to another, there is a short time during which two devices may send orders for the same account, for example if the old device has lost contact with our servers but is still connected to your Broker.
- Your own internet connection, power supply and computer can fail at any time.
Prop Firms
Each Prop Firm sets its own rules, such as maximum drawdown, daily loss limits, consistency rules and limits on copy trading. Breaking them can end your account or forfeit your payouts. TradeX does not check whether your trading follows these rules.
Demo, simulated and hypothetical results
Demo and paper accounts, simulated environments and the demonstration desk on our website do not reflect real fills, slippage, liquidity or the pressure of trading real money. The prices and accounts in our website’s demonstration are made up.
HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. ALSO, SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER-OR-OVER COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFIT OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN.
When your Access Time ends
You can still close positions, cancel orders and maintain take profit and stop loss, but you cannot open new positions or add to them, and Discord alerts pause. Renew in good time so that you are not unable to trade when you need to.
No advice
TradeX does not give investment advice, trading signals or account management. Whether to trade, what to trade and how much are your decisions, and the results are yours.
